Soil Enhancement

Soil Enhancement

Microbial Soil Treatment
SSB (Super Soil Booster) contains a complimentary blend of naturally occurring microorganisms that restore soil that has been damaged by overuse of chemical fertilizers which build-up in the soil.

The United States Department of Agriculture has determined that only 7% of the chemical fertilizers applied to crops are utilized by the plants while the remaining 93% becomes “locked” as insoluble inorganic salts. This build-up of insoluble chemicals is one of the main factors that cause soil to become poor and less able to support healthy plant growth. While these salts cannot be absorbed by the crops, they can be released in run-off caused by heavy rains into adjacent rivers and lakes. Satellite photos show increasing dead zones in regions of the world where major rivers empty into the ocean.

Chemical accumulation causes the natural soil microbes to decline thus further reducing soil viability. Soil microbes are necessary to convert organic and inorganic material into a bio-available form that the plant can use in order to stimulate faster and stronger growth as well as bear fruit.  In addition, herbicides and pesticides can accumulate in the soil further damaging the natural soil microbial community.

The microbes contained in SSB will breakdown inorganic salts into bio-available nutrients that can be utilized by the plants. Byproducts of this breakdown such as fatty acids and humates further stimulate plant growth and overall vigor.

SSB also contains microbes that will breakdown harmful toxins such as unspent herbicides and pesticides in the soil and other pollutants that could be contained in the irrigation water. These toxic substances are broken down into harmless fatty acids, CO2 and water. SSB microbes will speed the breakdown of dead organic material such as carbohydrates, proteins, etc., converting them into soluble forms of nitrogen and phosphorous. In addition, SSB will overgrow or competitively inhibit harmful or pathogenic microbes that may be present in soil.  Maximizes water usage!

Continued or seasonal use of SSB will restore depleted and damaged soil and greatly reduce the quantity of chemical fertilizer necessary in farming operations. SSB is the ORGANIC way to improve and enhance the soil!!

SSB works on any type of plant, flower, crop or grass!

Please check the accompanying pictures regarding grass in Belgium that was grown without and with our SSB treatments.   The plant where the SSB was used is on the right.  The growth you see is after as little as six weeks of treatment.  We have more pictures we can email you regarding other tests we have done.

Dosages:

SSB is diluted in water and applied as a soil drench.  When using chlorinated water, it is recomended to allow the water to sit in tanks or containers open to the atmosphere for 24 hours before mixing with SSB

Horticulture Applications - For container grown plants mix - 1 tsp SSB in one gallon of water and apply as follows:

For Flowers, Plants, Shrubs and Trees:  Mix 1 ounce of SSB in one gallon of water and apply evenly around root area.  Thoroughly water after application to soak SSB into root area.  Apply when planting or transplanting, with each fertilizer application, or 3-4 times per growing season.

Row Applications - Mix 32 oz SSB in 100 gallons of water.  This volume will treat 1 acre in 6" wide bands that are spaced 36" on center.  Apply at planting and with each fertilizer application. For maximum results use the SSB at least two more times during the growing season.

Turf Applications - Mix 1.5 gallons SSB in 600 gallons of water.  This volume will treat 1 acre.  For lawns apply in early spring, in the middle of summer and in late fall.  For golf course apply in early spring, then every 4 to 8 weeks on fairways and every 2 to 4 weeks on greens.

Suggested application rates of SSB should be adjusted for variations in soil, previous fertilizing, etc.

SSB is sold in 32 oz, gallon, 5 gallons and 55 gallon drums.
